This past week Kurt and I had the opportunity to go to the whopping town of Wallace, Idaho. Kurt had to go for work and Ainzley and I got to tag along as chaperons. We were in a town of about 900. The town is very historic it was established in the late 1800's as a mining town and has many of the original buildings from early 1900's because there was a huge fire that tore through the town. Well, it is a different atmosphere than here in Southeast Idaho, but the people were very nice. Ainzley and I walked the town a lot while we were there while dad was at work. They still have the mining town atmosphere bars, bars, and more bars... I think there were 9-10 bars for this small little town 1/4 the size of Shelley. Oh and needless to say they have an Oasis Bordero Museum or a brothel museum. Oh and did we tell you this brothel was active until 1988!!! We were told at one time back in the day (early 1900's) every building that had a second story ran a brothel on the second floor. We had the opportunity to visit an old mine and tour inside, we were 900 feet underground (pictures below). I also took the opportunity to take some pictures of Ainzley for her 6 months pictures! The buildings are very old and very fun to take pictures around. Hope you enjoy.
At one time Wallace was identified as "The Center of the Universe" of course this was due to errors and is no longer considered such...

Our little logger
What to even say she is a natural at smiling. Really I didn't have to work hard at all to get any of these pictures. She just smiled! Oh and everyday we went out walking no kidding someone would say "oh she is so cute!" or "wow she just made my day" I am so glad we have such a wonderful little girl.
Dad and Ainz when we were Geocaching!
Her nose was a little runny due to teething. Which actually did cause a little havoc on our trip home. Who can blame her though 9 hours in the car and teething! Let's just say we were ALL ready to get out of the car.
At lunch with mom.
In the train car.
Trouble maker?
Love this picture!
And this one!
Her little chubby toes
After picture taking she was worn out!
These are some of Kurt's favorites in front of this old car.
This was the ally by our hotel. If you didn't know what year this photo was taken, what year do you think this picture would be in? The old little town was cool and Kurt and I really enjoyed learning about a different way of life. I also recently just studied about Wallace in my Idaho History Class last semester so it made everything even more interesting to me.

Our little miner
These pictures were from our evening walk to look at the old houses. Annie we found the cutest little houses with a huge wrap around white porch and we thought of you. Didn't you say you wanted a house with a cute wrap around porch someday? Some of the houses were from the late 1800's they were amazing! And well taken care of.
This is a really cool old church built in 1910. It has awesome detail. There are like 7 other old churches there also.
We found this on one of the streets. Dad is the miner and Ainz the lantern! Our little ray of sunshine!
Outside the gold mine we toured.
Panning for gold and other gems after our tour.
Old tools that the miners left after blowing closed their mine. It was discovered 100 years later by the current owner who now gives tours from this old mine.
